INTRODUCTION
“Celebrate good times, come on!” There is something infectious about celebrating with other people. Joy begets joy; laughter begets laughter; and memories are embedded for life. We are a people with an inherent need to celebrate!

Celebration can be one of two things… impulse or act of willful intention. The first comes easily and naturally. The second can be much more difficult as it is an act of discipline that pays dividends. God welcomes the first and commands the second. We are called to praise, to worship, and to remember regularly WHO God is, ALL God has done, and WHAT He has in store for our future.

Go back to early childhood and sing it with me… “If you’re happy and you know it…”. Let’s be honest, happiness rarely comes easily for many of us. The negative, defeating, and downright scary things of life are so easy to spotlight. That is why God lovingly reminds us to take our thoughts captive and to place our focus on the things of God rather than the darkness of this world. Happiness may not always be within our grasp, but the joy that comes as a fruit of the Spirit is always achievable. So remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world and choose to celebrate that first and foremost as often as possible.
APPLICATION
PRAYER
Pray that God would remind you of things to be excited about and compel you to celebrate enthusiastically with those around you.
