Bible Story: Crossing the Jordan River // Joshua 3–4
Big Idea: God is great and mighty.
Parent Tip: God showed His power when He stopped the river so His people could walk across. This week, remind your child that God is bigger and stronger than anything we face. You can practice this by saying together, “My God is mighty!” when something feels hard or scary. Simple reminders help preschoolers know God is always with them.

Parent & Child Discussion
Bible Story: The Longest Day Ever // Joshua 10:1–15
Big Idea: God is great and mighty.
Parent Tip: God made the sun stand still to help His people win the battle. This week, talk with your child about how God can do amazing things. At bedtime, ask them to share one “big thing” they know God can do, and then thank God together for His power. This builds a habit of trusting God in every situation.

October 18 & 19
Parent & Child Discussion
Bible Story: David is Picked to be King // 1 Samuel 16:1–13
Big Idea: God uses little people to do BIG things.
Parent Tip: God chose David, a young shepherd, to be king because God looks at the heart, not just the outside. This week, remind your child that God made them special and has big plans for them too. Celebrate small ways they can help — like sharing, being kind, or praying — and point out that these “little” things are big to God.

October 25 & 26
Parent & Child Discussion
Bible Story: David Fights the Big, BAD Giant // 1 Samuel 17
Big Idea: God uses little people to do BIG things.
Parent Tip: David was young and small, but he trusted God and defeated Goliath. This week, encourage your child to be brave by trying something new or helping someone, even if it feels hard. Remind them, “God helps us be strong and brave,” so they know they don’t face challenges alone.
