INTRODUCTION
Everyone has experienced leadership, good or bad. The Bible teaches that leadership is not just for pastors, politicians, or CEOs. It’s a calling for all of God’s people. Tonight, we’re going to explore what it means to be part of God’s “royal priesthood” and how each of us can live out leadership in our daily lives. Let’s start by looking at the foundation of this truth, how God describes His people.
UNDERSTANDING
HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ 1 PETER 2:4–6 AND VERSE 9.
HAVE VOLUNTEERS READ 2 CORINTHIANS 5:14-15 AND MATTHEW 28:16-20
Using the sermon notes from this week’s bulletin, have different volunteers read Scriptures tied to each of the “Ten Characteristics of Christian Leaders”.
APPLICATION
PRAYER
Thank God for making us His chosen people and giving us direct access through Christ. Pray for strength to live as leaders in the places God has placed us. Ask the Holy Spirit to grow specific leadership traits in each member this week.

UNDERSTANDING
HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ 1 PETER 2:4–6 AND VERSE 9.
- What does it mean that we are “living stones” being built into a spiritual house?
- How does being called “a royal priesthood” change the way we think about everyday life?
- In the Old Testament, only priests could approach God’s presence. What does it mean for us today that all believers now have direct access to Him?
HAVE VOLUNTEERS READ 2 CORINTHIANS 5:14-15 AND MATTHEW 28:16-20
- What do these passages teach us about living not for ourselves, but for Christ?
- Why do you think the Great Commission and the Priesthood of All Believers go hand-in-hand?
- What sacrifices might leadership for Christ require in your life?
Using the sermon notes from this week’s bulletin, have different volunteers read Scriptures tied to each of the “Ten Characteristics of Christian Leaders”.
- Which of the 10 leadership traits most challenges you right now?
- Which trait do you feel God has already been strengthening in you?
- Why do you think God calls every believer, not just pastors, to develop these qualities?
APPLICATION

- Which of the 10 traits do you want to commit to growing in this week?
- How can our group help each other walk out our calling as “a royal priesthood”?
