Arizona Mission Trip

Cost: $515 if driving (plus cost of gas/hotel) and up to an additional $600 if flying.

The Arizona mission team will serve the local Navajo community. The trips are tailor-made to each team's strengths and abilities, while also maintaining standard activities to provide a comprehensive mission trip experience.  Activities include hands-on projects, worshiping with the local church, ministering to kids and/or adults, devotion time with the team, and time to experience the culture and shop for local items.

Additional Info

  • Mission Leaders:  Tammy Thornton & Greg Thornton

  • We normally fly out of Columbus or Dayton.  Reservations made by Lifeline. Food is also included (except during travel.)  

  • Will be staying in a classroom of a local church - separate rooms for men and women. Twin-size mattress will be placed on the floor. Equipped with showers, sinks, and towels. Sheets/pillows/towels are provided.

  • There are a variety of activities that we will participate in.  Examples of possible activities are: hosting a meal for the homeless in Winslow; ministering to local teens; and construction/maintenance.  Lifeline will consider our skill set and assign us appropriately.

  • There are a limited number of spots for this trip.  The first people to turn in a $600 down payment will get those spots.  Make checks payable to Medway UMC (mark “Arizona mission” in notes). Give check to leader personally or put in the offering basket in an envelope marked “Arizona Mission – Attention Tammy Thornton.
