PRAYER

We are going to spend some extended time in prayer following the Lord's Prayer as a model.

Read Psalm 100

  • Go around and say what you are thankful for.
  • Pray out loud one word prayers of Thanksgiving for what God has done in your life and how you have seen Him move.
  • Pray together that God's will would be done and made clear to you. Go around and have everyone pray for the person on their left.
  • Share requests that anyone may have. Pray for them.
  • Take a few moments to ask forgiveness. This is a time for confession in your group. You may want to do this in the whole group or split into smaller groups. Once you have shared, pray for each other.
  • Then take a few moments to pray for our church, leaders, and opportunities to share God's love with others.
  • End by praying the Lord's Prayer together.  (Matthew 6:9-13)
