Feb 6 - 12
Sunday: Romans 8:1-17
Part of being a Christian is drawing a line in the sand to separate the old from the new. What two ways of living does the author describe in this passage?
How would you explain the difference between “living according to sin” and living controlled by the spirit”?
Monday: 2 Corinthians 5:14-21
Does this passage change the way you look at the people in your life?Keeping this passage in mind, are you being a good ambassador for Christ?
Tuesday: Leviticus 1:1-9
Take time today and think about how complicated this process was. Keep in mind this is just one of many different ceremonies for different kinds of sacrifices found in Leviticus. Notice the need for the priests to help the people make amends with God.
Wednesday: Romans 12:1-2
How can a sacrifice be an act of worship? Compare what you know about Old Testament sacrifices with what the writer describes here. How are they similar and how are they different?
Thursday: Ephesians 2:1-10
How does vs 1 make you feel? Does that feeling change when you read verse 6? Do you feel more “alive” as a Christian than you did before you started following Jesus?
Friday: Romans 6: 8-14
Are you using your body/life as “an instrument of wickedness” or as “an instrument of righteousness”? What is something you have traded, a wicked thing you have done, into a beautiful thing God has transformed? Have you shared that story?
Saturday: Psalm 51:1-12
Take the time today and make sure there is nothing standing between you and God. Be renewed in his grace.
