April 3 - April 9
Daily Bible Reading // Beginning Sunday, April 3, 2022
Sunday: Pray and read Matthew 3:1-17
How does John the Baptist feel about the Pharisees? Why? What happens in vs 13-15? How can Baptism help you prepare for what God has planned?
Monday: Pray and read Leviticus 16:1-10
Why is Aaron making the offering? What does he do in preparation to enter the sanctuary? Awesome things happen when we make it a point to show God and his people that we are ready and dedicated to serving.
Tuesday: Pray and read 2 Corinthians 5:11-21
What does it mean to look at people from a “worldly point of view”? How has being a Christian changed your perspective? Take the opportunity today to look at those around you through the eyes of Christ.
Wednesday: Pray and read Acts 8:26-40
In what order do the events of this story happen? Do you think God sent Phillip to that place on purpose? Why? Have you ever had the opportunity to help someone looking for answers about God?
Thursday: Pray and read Galatians 3:26-29
What does this passage say about Christians with different backgrounds? Have a conversation today with someone who looks or lives differently than you do and keep these words in mind. Try to find common ground.
Friday: Pray and read Joshua Chapter 4
The Israelites had spent a very long time being prepared for what God was about to do next. God wanted them to take this time and make it a special reminder. Among other things, Baptism does this for us today. Pray and remember the journey God has taken you on and pray about what comes next in your walk.
Saturday: Pray and read Acts 1:1-5 and 2:1-4
Why were the disciples waiting? How is this story similar to the story of John baptizing Jesus in the study earlier this week?
