April 17 - April 23

Daily Bible Reading  //  Beginning Sunday, April 17, 2022

Sunday:  Pray and read John 20:1-18
What would you think if you were in the disciples’ shoes?
Has there been a time in your life you felt like Jesus was speaking directly to your heart and trying to snap you out of despair?

Monday:  Pray and read Genesis 3: 1-7
How was God’s provision doubted in this passage? Do you ever doubt that God has your best interests in mind or there is something better He’s keeping you from?  On the outside the fruit of the tree seemed harmless but the people of the time couldn’t understand the danger.  Has there been something in your life like the fruit on the tree in this story?

Tuesday: Pray and read Psalm 78:1-8
What is this passage about? What are the ways God has shared information with his people? How do we help the next generation?

Wednesday: Pray and read 1 Corinthians 13
Where does love come from? Is there a way you can better show love to those around you? Why do you think Paul talked about growing out of childish ways in a passage about understanding Godly love?

Thursday: Pray and read Acts 9:1-19
Has God ever revealed himself to you in a way that stopped you from doing something you would have regretted? Has God ever placed someone in your life you needed to share the gospel with but were scared to? In your life right now, can you relate more to Saul or Ananias? Wherever you are in your journey God wants you to step out in faith and follow him, even if you don’t understand why.

Friday: Pray and read Proverbs 1:1-7
Can you grow without listening to good teaching?
Fear does not always mean to be afraid. What are some other meanings that make sense?

Saturday: Pray and read Hebrews 11:1-7
How does acting in faith grow your faith to be stronger? How can we help grow faith in those around us?
