Sunday: Proverbs 8:12-21
- What is the difference between hating evil and hating people who do evil?
- How well do you do at loving people but hating evil?
- Wisdom, prudence, knowledge and discretion are all mentioned as going hand in hand… how are those qualities currently shown in your life?
Monday: John 15:1-17
- What kind of fruit do you think God wants you to produce in your life?
- Why is “remaining in” Jesus’ love a requirement of bearing fruit in your life?
- Is loving people like Jesus loves them different than loving people like we love ourselves?
Tuesday: Genesis 1:26-31
- What does it mean to you that you are created in God’s image?
- Do you feel that you represent the image of God to those around you each day?
- Other than raising kids, how can you “be fruitful and multiply”?
Wednesday: John 1:1-14
- We are called to be like Jesus and he is described as the Word coming into the world. How can you speak into the world around you this week like Jesus?
- Jesus is also described as the light coming into the darkness. How can you show Jesus’ light in the dark places around you this week?
Thursday: Isaiah 6:1-8
- After reading this passage, take a moment and try to visualize being in Isaiah’s shoes in this story.
- Like Isaiah in this passage, have you ever had a time where feeling really close to God made your own baggage so much more apparent than usual?
- Have you ever told God “Here I am. Send me!”?
Friday: Ephesians 2:1-10
- If you have started a relationship with Jesus, do you view your former way of life as “dead” the way this passage says?
- Grace is undeserved favor. How do you see God’s grace in your life?
- What “good works” do you think God has prepared for you to do?
Saturday: Acts 8:1-8
- Have you ever felt persecuted for following Jesus?
- Why is it important that persecution scattered Christians AND they preached wherever they went?
- When following Jesus gets difficult, do you preach wherever you go?
