Daily Scripture  //  Beginning Sunday, June 26, 2022

Sunday:  Proverbs 8:12-21
  • What is the difference between hating evil and hating people who do evil?
  • How well do you do at loving people but hating evil?
  • Wisdom, prudence, knowledge and discretion are all mentioned as going hand in hand… how are those qualities currently shown in your life?

Monday:  John 15:1-17
  • What kind of fruit do you think God wants you to produce in your life?
  • Why is “remaining in” Jesus’ love a requirement of bearing fruit in your life?
  • Is loving people like Jesus loves them different than loving people like we love ourselves?

Tuesday:  Genesis 1:26-31
  • What does it mean to you that you are created in God’s image?
  • Do you feel that you represent the image of God to those around you each day?
  • Other than raising kids, how can you “be fruitful and multiply”?

Wednesday:  John 1:1-14
  • We are called to be like Jesus and he is described as the Word coming into the world.  How can you speak into the world around you this week like Jesus?
  • Jesus is also described as the light coming into the darkness.  How can you show Jesus’ light in the dark places around you this week?

Thursday: Isaiah 6:1-8
  • After reading this passage, take a moment and try to visualize being in Isaiah’s shoes in this story.
  • Like Isaiah in this passage, have you ever had a time where feeling really close to God made your own baggage so much more apparent than usual?
  • Have you ever told God “Here I am.  Send me!”?

Friday:  Ephesians 2:1-10
  • If you have started a relationship with Jesus, do you view your former way of life as “dead” the way this passage says?
  • Grace is undeserved favor.  How do you see God’s grace in your life?
  • What “good works” do you think God has prepared for you to do?

Saturday:  Acts 8:1-8
  • Have you ever felt persecuted for following Jesus?
  • Why is it important that persecution scattered Christians AND they preached wherever they went?
  • When following Jesus gets difficult, do you preach wherever you go?
