- Have you ever felt what it is like to beg God for help? What brought you to that point and how did you see Him at work in that situation?
- When you ask God to work in your life, how can using His title of “maker of heaven and earth” improve your faith and hope?
- In eight verses it mentions God watching over you five times. How does that make you feel today?
Monday: Acts 2:37-47
- Like in verse 37, if someone asked you what they are supposed to do with the information that Jesus loves them and died for them… how would you respond to them?
- In verse 42 and following, it lists multiple habits that the first Christians adopted. How strong are these habits (and habits like them) in your life right now? How could you improve?
- Verse 45 tells us about some impressive generosity in the early Church. How could you improve in the area of generosity?
Tuesday: Matthew 14:13-21
- In verse 13, Jesus shows us one of His habits (He went to a solitary place). How could you apply this habit to your own life on a regular basis? When? Where? How long? Etc.
- When Jesus landed the boat, He had a lot of demands on His time. How do you react when a lot of stress is put on you all at once?
- How do you think combining better spiritual habits could impact your stress level?
Wednesday: Acts 18:1-8
- What consistent and persistent habits do you see in Paul’s life through this passage?
- When Paul’s consistent ministry in the synagogue stopped, why didn’t his habit of talking about Jesus stop too?
- How have you seen positive spiritual habits in your life used in unexpected ways when big life changes happen?
Thursday: Jeremiah 1:4-10
- How does it make you feel that God knew you completely before He formed you in your mother’s womb?
- If God fully knew you before you were conceived, how do you think His wisdom/direction could positively impact your life this week?
- In verse 7 Jeremiah uses an excuse/argument for not trusting God’s direction for his life. In what ways are you currently pushing back against God’s complete and ultimate will in your life?
Friday: Galatians 5:16-26
- Using the descriptions in this passage, list as many habits in your daily and weekly life as possible and put them in the follow three categories depending on the direction that habit is taking you: (1) Living by the Spirit (2) Acts of the Sinful Nature, and (3) Neither.
- If you’re surprised in a negative way by the results on your list, what are some practical habits you can adopt to put more items in the "Living by the Spirit" column and remove some from the "Acts of the Sinful Nature" column?
Saturday: Proverbs 23:15-25
- Verse 17 - How have you seen your attention drift away from God’s direction for your life?
- Verse 19 – How can you accomplish this task practically in your daily life?
- Have you experienced a time in your life when you significantly grew in wisdom, discipline and understanding? What brought that on and what made that period of time come to an end?
