INTRODUCTION
Pastor Mike talked a lot about being an “all in” disciple for Jesus this weekend. Being a believer in Jesus does not necessarily make you a disciple. Being a disciple requires time, energy, sacrifice and gut-wrenching steadfast commitment (along with a laundry list of other things!). We learn. We grow. And we walk in step with the Holy Spirit. Compared to all of our commitments in this life, being His disciple is meant to be our greatest commitment.

HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ LUKE 10:25-37.
Jesus paints a beautiful picture of what loving a neighbor looks like here. Love is always at the forefront of what we live for as Christians. True love will not only recognize and seek to care for the immediate needs of those around us, but will also attend to the eternal needs as opportunities present themselves.
HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ 1 CORINTHIANS 9:19-23.
We are all uniquely created by God to be special and one of kind. We all have our own gifts and abilities to live out our purpose as God leads. However, being unique was never meant for us to isolate ourselves and selfishly overlook the world around us. To truly fulfill God’s purpose for our lives, we must maintain a flexibility and sensitivity in pursuit of bringing the world around us into connection with a loving Savior.
APPLICATION
PRAYER
Pray for God to give you eyes to see those in need around you and the words to speak life into their world.

- Which character in Jesus’ parable do you think He is trying to draw the most attention to? Why?
- What is one thing you could do this week to be more like the Samaritan?

- How do you become all things to all people without either becoming fake or “losing yourself”?
- What is the difference between what this passage is talking about and being an unhealthy “doormat”?
- Share a time when you were able to become what someone else needed in order for them to feel loved?

APPLICATION
