INTRODUCTION
What we hold most dear in this life says a lot about our relationship with God as well as our relationships with others. Pastor Kevin introduced us to the first part of the 10 commandments this weekend as a way of shining light on our priorities. Priorities dictate attention and attention very often directs worship (for better or worse).

Everything God commands us to do (or not do) is for our benefit because His love for us is perfect. The best instruction He can possibly give us to keep our attention, worship, priorities directed toward Him. That is the only way to ensure we have the life He created us to have.
HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ MATTHEW 16:21-28.
Sometimes our best surface intentions can be stumbling blocks for what God wants to accomplish. Good things can become ultimate things and ultimate things will always take our top priority and eventually our worship. Walking in step with and in submission to God’s plan for our lives is the only way to live a life worth living.
APPLICATION
PRAYER
Pray that God will demand your worship this week and expose anything that is threatening to steal His top spot on your priorities list.
