INTRODUCTION
We have a tendency to create rules/perspectives/opinions on how life and love should and will work best for us and those around us. Unfortunately, we all lack the ability to create a perfect life plan for ourselves… let alone others. This is why a perfect, all-knowing and all-powerful God gifts us with the guidance of Scripture.

HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ JOHN 8:1-11.
TRUTH BOMB: We’ve all screwed up. We deserve a broken relationship with God and all the negative ramifications of our bad choices. But Jesus offers us grace and grace leads to all the things we DON’T deserve: forgiveness, salvation, a life of peace, purity & purpose, and ultimately heaven. John 1 tells us that Jesus came full of grace AND truth. We love receiving grace and, if we’re honest, the truth can hurt sometimes even when it’s necessary. May we be like Jesus; treating people with the love they don’t deserve in order to earn the right to lovingly speak the truth they need.
HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ MICAH 6:8.
Our attitude toward God and our attitude toward each other will ultimately mirror one another. Having the genuine humility walk in repentance between us and God should lead us to extend His grace and mercy to others by how we treat them.
APPLICATION
PRAYER
Pray for God to give you the attitude of Jesus. Pray for the strength to extend grace to all and to lovingly speak truth as He gives you words to speak.

APPLICATION
- If you have a hard time extending grace and understanding to others when they are wrong, how might you possibly be missing experiencing God’s grace in your life through self-righteousness and lack of repentance?
- Is there anyone God has been encouraging you to lovingly speak truth into their situation? NOTE: if you can’t speak with genuine love and humility, you’re not ready yet.
PRAYER
Pray for God to give you the attitude of Jesus. Pray for the strength to extend grace to all and to lovingly speak truth as He gives you words to speak.
