  • How does it make you feel when you read that people are like withering grass?
  • How does it make you feel to hear that the Word of the Lord endures forever?
  • Which do you struggle with more and why?  God the mighty ruler or God the gentle shepherd?
 
 
Monday:  John 1:1-14
  • Why is Jesus described as the light?
  • What does it mean to you to be described as a child of God?
  • How does Jesus represent both grace and truth?


Tuesday:  Luke 1:26-38
  • What qualities stand out most to you about Mary?
  • What is the biggest thing God has ever called you to do for Him?
  • What do you think is significant about Mary’s final response to the angel?

 
Wednesday:  Luke 1:39-56
  • Why did the baby in Elizabeth’s womb leap when Mary showed up?
  • What does it mean when it says that God scatters those whose thoughts are proud?
  • Why did Mary say that all generations would call her blessed?  Was she correct?


Thursday:  Matthew 1:18-25
  • Prior to hearing from the angel, do you think it was right that Joseph was going to divorce Mary?  Why or why not?
  • What emotions do you think Joseph was experiencing during this whole process?
  • What is a time when God changed your perspective of another person and helped you love them?


Friday:  Luke 2:25-35
  • Who have you met in your life that kind of reminds you of Simeon? Why do they remind you of him?
  • What thing or things do you believe God wants you to accomplish before you die?
  • What do you think he meant when he said that a sword would pierce Mary & Joseph’s souls?

 
Saturday:  Luke 2:36-40
  • What difficulties would you imagine Anna has faced in her long life?
  • How can you improve your devotion to God in your daily practices?
  • Jesus is described as becoming strong, wise and full of the grace of God.  How can you become more like Jesus?
