  • Was there anything that challenged you?

INTRODUCTION
  • What is the worst job you ever worked and why was it so bad?
  • How has your view of employment changed since you were younger?

The passing of time carries with it one significant inevitability… change.  Our experiences, our observations, even our minds & bodies change as time marches on.  We do, however, have a choice as to how those things change us.  We can grow & mature allowing time to be the sandpaper that smooths our rough edges - or we can dig our heals in, and embrace sin & folly causing time to dig chunks out of our already rough exterior.

HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ  EPHESIANS 4:11-16
  • What are the characteristics of a mature follower of Jesus versus an immature follower of Jesus?
  • What do you do regularly that most helps you grow & mature spiritually?

Ask yourself this question:  What if God has created me for more than my current maturity qualifies me to accomplish?  If that is true (which it is for all of us), our choice is clear… mature & grow or allow spiritual apathy to rob us of the life God desires for us.  Change is inevitable but growth & maturity require intentionality and effort.

HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ  2 CORINTHIANS 5:16-21
  • What does it look like in our world today for us to act as “Christ’s ambassadors”?
  • How are you personally doing at fulfilling this role in your own daily life? (scale of 1 - 10)

Great news!... God’s not done with you yet!  Yes, you have been created for far more than you have lived up to thus far.  But He’s not done with you!  You CAN grow!  You CAN mature!  You CAN be the joy-filled, loving, strong representative of Jesus that the Bible says you were created to be!

APPLICATION
  • What is one specific change you can implement this week to be a better ambassador of Christ?
  • What is one long-term goal you can set for yourself to better go after the life God is calling you to?

PRAYER
Pray that God would use you in some significant way this week to show Jesus to someone.
