INTRODUCTION
In talking to mothers for Mother’s Day, Pastor Mike asked this weekend, “Why be a chicken mom when you can be an eagle mom?”. This question obviously has a much broader application than just mothers. Life is scary sometimes. This is especially true when our own failures begin to pile up and life begins to feel suffocating and just plain dangerous. Lucky for us, God has a plan for that!

Sin and failure can feel almost insurmountable at times. Life brings us baggage and we carry it day in and day out. But there is a better way! Jesus told us that we would have trouble in this life, but He immediately followed that up with a reassurance that He has overcome the world. We don’t have to settle for less than an existence characterized primarily by our failures. Instead, we focus on and pursue His success in our life.
HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ Isaiah 40:28-31
There is an old hymn called “Victory in Jesus” that paints a beautiful picture of our failures turned into Jesus’ victories. That’s the experience we strive for, hold onto, and shout from the rooftops. Our God does not grow tired! He does not fail! And most importantly, He does not fail us!
APPLICATION
PRAYER
Pray that God would renew your strength, focus you on His plan for your life, and lead you to victory in the areas you are experiencing failure.
