  • Was there anything that challenged you?

INTRODUCTION
  • As a kid, what was your most and least favorite part of transitioning to a new school?
  • What is the biggest job transition you’ve made?  How did it go?

Change in life is inevitable.  Sometimes we change where we go, who we go with, or even what we’re doing when we get there.  But the most beautiful thing about the life we start living with Jesus is that we get to change the person we are because of our relationship with Christ.  We become a whole new person with new goals and a new direction culminating in Heaven!

STUDY  [tap on scripture to read]

HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ  2 Corinthians 5:13-17
  • What does it mean to regard someone “from a worldly point of view”?
  • When is the last time you felt Christ “compeling” you to do something?  How did it go?

We all have a BC (before Christ) life.  In many ways, for most of us, it was lived in lonesome futility.  But the life with Jesus as a new creation of God is not meant to be anything like that!  We are given purpose, peace, and purity in abundance!

HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ  2 Corinthians 5:18-21  &  6:1-2
  • What does it mean that we might “become the righteousness of God”?
  • When is a time in your life when, if you’re brutally honest, you were probably “receiving God’s grace in vain”?

Being a new creation in Jesus is a grace-filled gift.  But taking hold of and walking in that newness, requires intentionality, effort, and perseverance.  It is a privilege and an honor to be one of God’s co-workers.  How humbling to be trusted with something as great as the work of God!

APPLICATION
  • What is one thing from your old (before Jesus) life that you want to work on removing this week?
  • What is one specific thing you want to accomplish this week as a “co-worker” with God?

PRAYER
Pray that God would remind you of the new creation you are and show you specific ways to live that out this week.
