INTRODUCTION
This past weekend, we celebrated Mother’s Day. Among the top three most impactful individuals in a person’s life, mothers teach us through words and actions, help us to define success & failure, and set us down a life path with elements of beauty and elements that require repair & recovery. Our view of what a family should or shouldn’t be is defined in significant ways by the one we’ve always called Mom.

Anyone involved in building construction will affirm the importance of a solid foundation. The most beautiful buildings have been reduced to rubble and less-than-beautiful buildings have withstood some of the most violent storms… due to the quality of the building’s foundation. The same can be said for the foundation we build our lives and families on. God desires for us to build from strength and that strength comes from Him!

Unlike the foolish man in this parable, we still have time and God has given us the ability to transfer our lives, our families, and our marriages from the weak foundations we’ve created to the unbreakable one that God wants to provide for us. We may not always have the strongest faith, but may we always have faith in the strongest foundation… our amazing God!
APPLICATION
PRAYER
Pray that God would show you where you are relying on a weak foundation in your life, your family, and/or your marriage.
