INTRODUCTION
We need people in our life! We weren’t created to be alone. As Pastor Sean said this week… We are protected together and we are made perfect together. Bottom line, we need other people to lean on and go into battle with when life throws stuff at us.

HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ John 17:20-23
It is so easy to destroy unity… especially in the church. We are drawn toward critical thinking and critical speech. We do not default to unity and showing grace to one another. God calls us to unity because other people need us. When we are willing to admit it, during our times of trial and weakness, we need others too. This humbling realization is one of the major truths the Church is built on.
HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ 1 Peter 5:8-9
Attacks are coming! For some of us, they are here… now! We do not go into battle alone. God promises to never leave us or forsake us. Greater is he who is in us than he who is in the world. And when we battle, God’s people (whom we belong to), go into battle with us; shoulder to shoulder, side by side, equipped to battle and find victory over the enemy who comes against us.
APPLICATION
PRAYER
Pray that God would send you to other believers with whom you need to find unity and make you into more of the person who locks arms with other believers to face down the difficult things of this world.

- Outside of your family, what is the closest group (4+ people) of people you’ve walked with for a period of your life (friend group, etc.)?
- When is a time you went into a metaphoric (or literal) battle with a group of people? ie. sports team, coworkers, group of friends, military, etc.
