INTRODUCTION
For many of us, money and security go hand in hand. Our world teaches us from a very young age that being surrounded by enough stuff and having enough money will make you feel safe. Having stuff, even a lot of stuff, isn’t necessarily a bad thing… it can even be a good thing. But we cannot fall into the trap of making a good thing into a God thing. God has a better way!

HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ Psalms 16:1-6
True safety that God desires for us must come from the only one truly capable of ensuring our safety. There are a lot of ways we can attempt to ensure our own safety through the many things this world has to offer us. But God is the only one powerful and knowledgeable enough to actually make it happen without exception or shortcoming.
HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ Psalm 16:7-11
Our gaze is prone to wandering. That statement is undeniable. When our gaze wanders, our path strays. The eyes guide the feet. Where the eyes and feet go, our heart follows and our worship will inevitably as well. May we keep our eyes fixed on God, our trust solidly placed on Him, and our hearts & minds intermingled with all that He wants to direct us to.
APPLICATION
PRAYER
Pray that God would challenge you to trust Him more in all areas of life including your finances.
