  • What was one takeaway from this week's sermon for you?
  • Were there any stories, ideas, or points that stuck out?
  • Was there anything that challenged you?

INTRODUCTION
  • What was something highly unrealistic you wanted to do or be when you grew up?
  • What is your greatest goal in life that you are still working toward?

Goals, ambitions, dreams… we all have them.  Unrealistic or attainable, we all want more, better, and different at times.  This is all part of our recognition of the fact that perfection is not yet part of our experience.  Perfection is instead part of that eternal experience promised through our relationship with Jesus.

HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ  Matthew 19:23-26
  • If you could do anything in life for God, what would it be?
  • What are the three most important things you hope people will say about you at the end of your life?

Jesus came to give us life and life to the full.  This experience of life to the full requires that we know and walk with the one who is able to make the impossible… possible.  Through this amazing relationship with Jesus, we can dream about the amazing things he wants for us and walk forward trusting that what he wants for our life is attainable.

HAVE A VOLUNTEER READ  Philippians 4:11-13
  • If you could stop any negative behavior, habit, or attitude that seems impossible to get rid of for good, what would you stop?
  • If money or fear had no impact on what you would work to accomplish, what would you start working toward?

What CAN’T you do with God’s strength?  What CAN’T you overcome with God’s strength?  Who can derail God’s plan for your life if you rely on him fully?  When you simplify our experience with such simple questions, things begin to be a bit more cut and dry.  Rely on God as the provider and sustainer and walk forward in his strength.  Nothing else can stand in your way.

APPLICATION
  • What is one thing you are going to do this week to allow God to show his strength through what you accomplish?
  • Ask your group members to pray for the attitude, behavior, or habit you’re trusting God to help you stop this week.

PRAYER
Pray that God would use you to do big things for his name!
