Community Park Day

Raynor Park
Every day in our local neighborhoods, families struggle with having enough food for everyone in the house.  Community Park day includes cooking lunch for the community families who are in need at three local parks.  In addition we will clean up the area around the park and play games like kickball or wiffle ball with the families and even give out an invite to VBS this Summer.  These Community park days are great for families with children.

CARD WRITING

A warm letter of encouragement, love and appreciation can go a long way in showing the love of Jesus.  At the card writing station we will be writing cards for the elderly folks who reside at the Brookdale Nursing Home in Springfield OH, and for the Local Area First Responders who take care of our communities daily.  This opportunity is ideal for the young and old alike.

FOOD PACKING FOR HAITI

The Poverty in Haiti has a special place in the heart of our church.  We cannot be there in person any more so we’re working with an organization to send over 5,000 meals to the Hungry families.  During the food packing you will follow specific instructions to pack and seal food into bags and then box them up to be delivered.  This serving opportunity is open to anyone over the age of 8.  Only 80 spots available.

Medway Food Pantry

Every week here at Medway we serve a few dozen families from our community the groceries that they need to feed their families.  Serve day will offer a hand to the process and organization of the Food Pantry.  This is a serving opportunity for anyone over 12 years old.

Medway Clothes Closet

Farmers market refresh station

Huber Heights Farmers Market is a community gathering spot each Saturday and we believe that wherever there are people there is an opportunity to show God’s love.  We will take snacks, cold drinks and invitations to Summer VBS.  We will offer prayer, and any help that we can to those who are coming.  For those who love the summer sun and Farmers Markets, this is your place to serve.

juvenile  detention center

Young men currently in Clark County Juvenile Detention need to hear the hope and love of Jesus and a reminder that the past doesn’t define us.  You can be a part of a small team that will pack up some snack bags, and spend some time talking with the inmates and delivering a pizza lunch full of pepperoni and hope. This team can be up to 15 folks who are willing and able over the age of 18.
